More Questions Than You Can Shake a Rotor At.

All right here i go, lots of miss spelled words and all, first off i have a 88 rx gtu 13b n/a just removed my air pump and all the crap that went with it, where can i get a block off plate for it? Second what the hell is the subzero crap by the cruse control and charcoal box. can i remove it or what. allso can i get rid of the charcoal box? i done ripped out the cruse control because who wants to cruse anyways. allso removed the a/c and the lines that went with it and the damn pain in the *** raditor looking think(cant remember the name lol). that was the lead in for this question, can i remove my P/S with out having to convert to a manual rack or can i still use my power rack with out the pump. And what the hell is this rats nest i been hearing about, and how do i remove it. i think that's every thing i have been looking for all this crap for about 2 hours now with no luck, some one help me with my mazda rotary head ache, Thanks Jeff

Damit search some of that I coverd just a few posts down on the first page still. The other half is coverd in the FAQ. The AC RAD thing is a condensor. Search on the rack its alot to type and HAILERS and WAYNE88N/A have both coverd proper ways of removing the hydrolics from the rack without endangering your life, and there is a writeup in the archives.

Any of the vendors sell blockoff plates. If you still have your cats, you need to keep the airpump as without it they will clog very shortly.

Second what the hell is the subzero crap by the cruse control and charcoal box. can i remove it or what.
Remove it. Never worked, doesn't work now. Mazda actually issued a TSB to dealers to pull it out.

allso can i get rid of the charcoal box?
Sure, if you want your car to reek like gas. No reason to remove it.

i done ripped out the cruse control because who wants to cruse anyways.
It's fairly handy on long trips. I added it to my car, but ultimately removing it since I got used to not using it (none of my other cars have cruise).

can i remove my P/S with out having to convert to a manual rack or can i still use my power rack with out the pump.
Technically yes. You can remove the pump then loop the lines together. The power rack has a much shorter ratio and turns faster, but I find it clunky and hard. The manual rack is perfectly balanced and effortless but has a slightly longer ratio.

My opinion is that if you are going to convert, do it properly by swapping in the manual rack (and necessary brackets and tie rod ends).

And what the hell is this rats nest i been hearing about, and how do i remove it. i think that's every thing i have been looking for all this crap for about 2 hours now with no luck, some one help me with my mazda rotary head ache, Thanks Jeff
The rats nest is vacuum and solenoid rack on the top of the engine. There's no reason to remove it. If you have already disabled the emissions system and insist on removing it even though there is no gain, then just search for "emissions removal diagram". Keep in mind that all that stuff is there for a reason to help make the car run properly under all circumstances. There are MANY threads in which someone has done the rats removal "mod" and then spent weeks troubleshooting why their car doesn't run right.
