A Moment Of Silence For My Car....
Compression test done. Blown seal on rear rotor. Now comes the fun part. I am compiling a list of stuff that I can sell off of the car. Just to get ya'll thinkin, I have a black in terior, about 90% perfect. RB Header, RB presilencer, Nordskog digital gauges, 91 Coupe rims, S5 GXL/GTU rims, TII hood (I have several offers, so peacekeeper, and knight get ready to bid!!), Racing A N1 muffler, CAP high performance clutch and PP, Mazdaspeed seatbelt pads, S4 TII shift ****, cloth seats in darn good shape IMO, and lots of other stuff. Pretty much everthing is good. But I am taking offers for the car itself first. The car is in College Station, Tx, and it does run (sorta). Pics are at www.geocities.com/rotorwarrior/rx-7
If you want to offer me some cash for the car, PM me. If you want parts, wait for a few weeks and check in the For Sale section. Time to go Miata shopping...

Ok, question. Should I spend like $400 on a S5 n/a engine, and then try and sell it? I really need something that I can rely on, and a modded RX-7 is not that. Basically, would it be better to sell the car as is, or replace the engine and then sell the car?

Booooo! Don't give up on the rotary. Time to move on to a TII
Anyhoo, when my engine went I felt like I wanted to get rid of it, but now I'm actually feeling better about things cause pulling the engine gave me a chance to get in there and clean and fix up all the things that I never would have done before. You can make the car work how you want it to. I say stick with it buddy!
On another note, if you do sell it, how much would you want for your interior black trim pieces (ie dash, doors, pillars, etc...)?

Well, I really want to stick to rotary and N/A. I just would like anything over $600 for the car as is. Considering the exhaust alone cost me more than that, and the exhaust has less than 500 miles on it. I guess I could save up and get another S5 n/a again...I like TII, but I love N/A!

If I can find another N/A S5 (black only) with decent miles, I wil get one. If I can't I'll be back in a few years with a ******' sick s5 TII (when my paychecks are a smidge bigger)

I am watching Initial D 3rd Stage Movie right now. I can't do this. My car is my life. The FC has brought me more joy than I ever thought possible in my life. My car is dented and dinged, but it is mine. Anyone have any clue where to get a S5 n/a engine? Or where I could get a basic rebuild and SP for under $1500?

Well, I don't think that I can justify dump $2k into an engine that the car around it has $2k in body damage. I think I have a plan. Sell the car, keep the exhaust and save up for a Black on black GXL.

Yep. I'm gonna sell the car, keep the exhaust, and save up the $3k-$4k for another S5 n/a. I could go turbo, but I like beating up on Trans Ams w/o a turbo WAY too much!!

No, actually I'm not happy, you were supposed to give it to me, remember? That one time when you were drunk? So what are you planning on doing with your car? If you part it out you should be slapped silly!
