Mods I want to Do any Suggestions??
Ok so I have found and 86 turbo II low kms etc. I do not yet know if it needs a rebuild, but that will be no financial trouble.
Iv'e been looking at performance componants and so far have gathered this fairly loose list of what I want to do, U guys got any suggestions?
K&N Pod filter
Racing Beat Lightnened flywheel
Racing Beat TURBO II High Performance Exhaust System
Splitfire Sparkplugs
10mm Sparkplug leeds
Aftermarket Radiator
EMS
Bosch fuel pump
BOV
is there anything I should remove from the list or add??
Thanks for an help

Use only the stock NGK plugs - I wouldn't bother with the Spitfires.
Also consider getting a front-mount intercooler, especially if you're going over 10psi or so of boost.

I'm just wanting to have a fast street car to leave the ricers for dead, that is also very healthy rotary, hence the larger radiator for cooling etc.
does anyone know if the RB housings are worth the $$??

Think about this... 3 RB housings are $3600. Can you propel the extra weight with $3600? Yes.
No they're not worth it, unless you've done everything else you can.

fair comment...
Any other suggestions?
Atm the car is stock red, if I was to have it resprayed in another colour would this mean removal of the interior as well as the motor?? (the latter wouldn't be so much of a prob if a rebuild is in need)
Keep the suggestions coming guys, thnx for the help

The flywheel is a nice-to-have, but not a necessity.
Free exhaust is a must from turbo to bumper.
Dump the splitfires. Use stockers and change them every 5k miles.
New plug wires - good.
Aftermarket rad. nice-to-have. Not necessary unless you're overheating now, or plan circuit time.
EMS: not needed unless you're raising boost with a boost controller, new turbo, etc... More on this shortly.
Bosch fuel pump. Depending on the Bosch part #, the big walbro is cheaper, bolts-in, and should meet your needs.
BOV. nice-to-have.
The
86 TII will benefit from an air filter and the TID mod. On the exhaust side - straight through is the ticket. For fuel, the Walbro pump (rewired) will do. Send your injectors to a fuel injection shop and have them cleaned and tested. If you can find a turbo/manifold from an '89-'91 car - buy it. Its a direct replacement for the '86 and flows much better. Those mod's will get you to ~190rwhp. If you want more boost, you'll need a boost controller. FWIW, my experience with these turbos is they do not like boosting past ~10psi. They'll do it, but not reliably, particulary if they've been upgraded with a bigger compressor.
One more thing. Your car is now ~15 years old. Spend some $ on a master cylinder, brake lines, shocks/struts/springs and bushings - its money well spent, and it might save your _ss should you err with the throttle, personal experience speaking there
Cheers

well atm Im not sure, the car I showed is one im quoting, the slack bastards still havn't returned my inquiry however if it isn't in stock performance, it sure will be, more than likely i'll have it totally overhauled, as If i end up buying it i'll have to drive it approx 500kms home, and I would like to have the pulsation dampners looked at as well as the compression, radiator etc...
btw does anyone know anything about re-spraying cars as I said above ^^^^
thanks
