Mobil-1 oil filter model # question

I got my Mobil-1 oil and oil filter today so I can change my oil. They always give me M110, but today I got an M104. Does anybody know if I could use the M104?

I searched all over the internet and on this site, but couldn't find an oil filter application list anywhere.

Thanks, Brian Doty.

If the circumfrence of the rubber sealing ring matches the ring used normally on your car and that theire are the same amount or more oil passage holes as the old one and the overall size is at least as big as the old one, you should be ok

Ya, the gasket is the exact same, and the threads fit, so I am going to stick with it. It is noticably bigger aswell.

I always use the M104. That's the one that is listed in the application book at the autoparts store...

I buy them by the case because all 4 of my cars (Mazda and Subaru) use the same oil filter. Makes it easy!

Ya, they usually give me the M110, but this time I got the M104. When I searched on Google, I saw tons of links to Subaru websites about the M104.
