Mmm.. Chocolate Milkshake.. WAIT NOOOOO!!!

Well first off, I've been having a problem with losing lots of coolant for no apparent reason, car has been running pretty good, not hot, but then as usual the coolant light starts going off and I'm low on coolant.

Fast forward to this morning, went out to fill the coolant up and check my oil, cheked the oil, 1/3 quart low so I went and got a quart of oil and decided to fill it up.

Opened the hood, unscrewed the cap and there I saw it...

Looks like a friggin chocolate milkshake in there, you know what I mean, I'm sure you've all seen what coolant mixed with oil looks like when its been run through an engine. The oil fill cap is covered in the brownish sludge, and the fill pipe is also coated all over with it.

Looks like that rebuild I was hoping to put off for a bit longer has decided that it needs to come a bit earlier than was planned.

You guys think that it's a blown coolant seal? Or that for some reason I am just having a lot of water in my fill pipe?

good lord I don't wanna rebuild yet...

When i checked the oil the dipstick was clean, I mean there was oil on it, but it was clean oil, wasn't all mucky like it was up top.

Any ideas?

its a coolant leak somewhere in a piston engine it would be your head gasket being blown.... well basically your engine is boiling the coolant its not flowing properly

I think you got a coolant seal leaking. No way of wishing your way around it. Might be time for a rebuild.

thats just condensation, its pretty normal. especially if the oil is old. its almost impossible for a rotary to mix oi and coolant

I was just trying to figure out how it would be possible.

Perhaps somehow though the intermediate housing or something? Even still, from what I know, I don't think it can be done..
