missing turbo in a 87?
hello Im thinking of getting a 87 rex i ran the vin# and it came back as a turbo 13B with 2 cylinder (I know it’s a rotary) but ya, hears the ? i looked and cant seam to find a turbo charger, the intake is routed like this: the air enter the air box, the air then leave out a plastic tube and in to the intake manifold, through the throttle body and what looks like the intake going in to the right side of the block, now if I look at the exhaust manifold all I can see is heat shield, and no apparent hoses going to the air box. Is it possible that this rex did not come with an intercooler or did all turbo charged 13b come with one?
Thanks you all for your help

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
where did you run the VIN??? If it is car fax, they are notoriuslly bad for figuring out what engine is in a car.
What is the 7th number in the VIN. The 7th should be 1 if it is a non-turbo, and 2 if it is a turbo.
