MD Racing chip........

Just wondering if the dyno results on that page is even realistic???? 20 horse seems to be a lot from a reprogram of the ecu......any info is appreciated......

There was a thread before the last hack where someone got +13hp peak to the wheels measured with a G-tech.

I don't think the +20 reflects the peak gain. I think it reflects the largest difference between stock and chipped at a point in the revs.

I had the MD ECU for the last 3 years I owned my car. If you've already done the exhaust and intake, the ECU is the next biggest bang for the buck mod to do.

Where can the MD chip be purhcases from? I have heard they are no longer selling the chip.

I'm about to buy the chip in less than a month, so I sente them an email asking about price and a 1 or 2 things else.

Thanks for your email. Our chips have been well tested in Florida and other parts of the US and the Carribbean. We had an altitude problem in Calgary Canada. We tried to resolve the problem with the customer but, it was difficult to satisfy his requirement. The autocross chip cost $295.00 plus $25.00 for postage of the CPU back to you. The chip will work the the standard configuration of the RX-7 1988. Free flow exhaust and air filter will be okay.
