MazdaTrix ABS Delete Help?

Okay i just recently picked up a s5 and it has a very leaky abs unit so i purchased the mazdatrix delete kit and im having some problems.

This is the setup and basically on those 2 spots, it leon getaks out fluid when i press the brakes. Im guessing its not tight enough? Any tips ting it tighter? Got it as tight as i could with 2 wrenches..

And also after doing this, whenever i step on the brakes the car's idle drops and if i keep pressing the brakes over and over the car turns off. Did i disconnect something on accident or something? I noticed a hose coming from the intake thats not connected to anything could that be it?

and finally the brake pedal lost all pressure and brakes don't work, would bleeding it fix this?

That's a bit strange. I installed one on my S5 TII and there were no banjo bolt connections at all. See the image.

Well, I don't think you need the banjo bolts. Is that something you added? If so, remove them and screw the lines directly into the adapter. [Hopefully, you didn't mess up the threads in the adapter with the bolts.] You may have to carefully bend some of the lines a very little bit to get them to the correct position so you can screw them into the adapter. Don't overdo it!!! Before you do that, however, re-read the Mazdatrix instructions and make sure you have the correct lines connected to the correct ports in the adapter.

Did you re-use copper crush washers?

This is next on my list... I was looking to replace the hydraulic unit The mazdatrix abs delete sounds like a better bet. I'm not paying what I paid for the car for a new abs unit. Is there anything else involved, or did you just remove the unit and install the T-connection?

Like I said, just remove the banjo bolts and screw the hard lines directly into the adapter. The adapter is threaded for the hard line fittings. I doubt that the banjo bolts are the same threads as the hard line fittings. If they're not, you may have damaged the threads in the adapter. The fittings on the ends of the hard lines are like pipe fittings--tapered--so they are, in essence, self-sealing. The banjo bolts are straight and are not compatible with pipe fittings.

If the threads in the adapter are, in fact, messed up, you may need to purchase another adapter.

yea +1 for removing the banjo fittings
Ive never seen those before on the brake lines not sure how well those would hold up to the pressure
It also looks like you left your ABS unit in the car, any reason for that? Its good weight removal.
Dont you also have to unplug the ABS computer? That may be related to the engine stalling issue?

I left the ABS unit in because I had just barily got the job done and it wasnt working right so i didnt want to completely remove it incase i need to put it back to drive it.

Ill take off those 'banjo' bolts right now and see if that helps, those were just on the car already i didnt add them or anything so i figured it was supposed to be in there.

And for the ABS computer where do you unplug that? I just pulled the fuses..

but ill go try and screw the lines directly in the adapter and see if that makes a difference.

Okay i replaced the banjo bolts and that stopped the leaks and now my brakes actually kinda work BUT i broke a hard line trying to take off one of those stupid bolts that arnt supposed to be there how much does that cost to fix? I put the broken lines bolt into the 3 way and tried to use some pliers to close off the hole so at least i can drive the car to a shop to get it replaced...

Also the car's idle still drops when i press on the brakes and it still stalls if i repeatedly step on the brakes.

how do i disconnect ABS computer? is it all those wires that are right under the abs?

Also what are these hoses connected to?

Only one of the hoses is connected on my intake and the other 2 are just sitting there, where do they go? or does it not really matter

Those are vacuum lines. The "T" is for a line for connecting an aftermarket boost gauge. Pretty messy in there.

Hmm maybe my car had a boost gauge before? So its cool for it to just be sitting there with only 1 hose connected to the intake or should i plug it up?

Car is STILL stalling when i brake.

Get a copy of the factory service manual from the link in the FAQ if you don't already have one. There is a vacuum hose diagram in the manual you can use to trace the hoses and where they connect. No way to tell which hoses you're referring to and what they connect to on the other end.
