This is what the link says from ebay.......

This one really works!
"Dave, Will RESTORE help my MAZDA low oil pressure and low compression?"

Hi there, basically YES. AMETECH ENGINE RESTORE OIL is the O N L Y engine additive that can bring your rotary engine back to life!!

Just to clarify - Ametech Engine Restore Oil contains micro particles of CSL copper silver lead in a honeycomb matrix -under a microscope they look like the inside of chocolate malteser *****! These particles vary between 2micron and 16micron in diameter and find their way to every hot spot and wear point in the engine. The CSL particles will repair everything they touch: cylinders, pistons and rings, valve guides, crankshaft, main bearings, camshaft, bushings and bearings, oil pump gears and bushings, and bring dimensions back to very near to original specifications. We halt the repair process before it reaches 100% because we DON'T want the dimensions to be over-reduced from original (which would make the engine tight of course!). I can confirm that Ametech Engine Restore Oil will repair the 'wear' in your oil pressure system. It wont repair leaky oil seals, broken piston rings though. A worn engine has to be mechanically sound for RESTORE to work it's magic... If you invest in a can for each engine litre, and run the engine for 1000 miles (or 10hours) you will see the oil pressure slowly climb back to normal (and stay there!). Ametech Engine Restore Oil is a permanent repair to the engine... Regards DaveB enginerestore"

This is the part that really sells me...........

"The CSL particles will repair everything they touch: cylinders, pistons and rings, valve guides, crankshaft, main bearings, camshaft, bushings and bearings, oil pump gears and bushings,"

Good thing it 'fixes' all those items.

I've used the product, though never in an RX-7. It's available at most auto parts stores. I've put in a '92 Q45, '84 300ZX Turbo, and an '88 Prelude. I never really noticed a 'difference' but none of the engines were particularly worn or had low compression. I doubt it really does a whole lot, though it's fun to watch it drop into the motor in big blue glob, and I haven't noticed any side effects. Take whatever the ad says with a grain of salt, I'd say.

also if you read on most of that stuff it says not to use it when there is oil injected to the combustion chamber (basically dont use it in 2stroke things) so i dunno about using it in a rotary.

c'mon guys, your not serious are you?? STP oil treatment with blue color die mixed in. Also been called Moto-honey. Sure thick as **** oil treatment stops a piston engine from smoking....temporarily. That is the oldest trick in the auto world.

I saw a ford courier that had a timing chain so loud that peolpe thought it was a diesel. The Damn thing smoked like crazy.....all the time. The regular oil was replace with pure STP Oil treatment and you would think it was a new motor. For about a month or two, good enough to sell it to some sucker for a good price.

Better yet just get some 90 weight gear oil and accomplish the same thing.

Ebay, the new way to sell Snake oil and elixurs.

I had a car one time that used so much oil I used to get used oil from the gas station down the street. Burned just fine! By the way it was a 1959 Rambler Station Wagon.

pretty much, all of those products may help a tiny bit but it is like putting a bandaid on with the patches over the sticky sides still. doesn't do much good nor does it last very long.

If this stuff is supposed to fill-in-worn-spots...what's keeping those particles from floating away or being scraped away?

I guess these particles are so smart, they know where to stick and where not to!
Doh!

jhammons01 is right - it's the oldest trick in the book to sell a tired engine.
Run thicker oil and seals seal tighter and oil pressure goes up...just like the screaming ad says!

These con artists are counting on you thinking: "Yeah, what's a few dollars versus several thousand dollars of engine rebuild?"
If all us car owners with tired engines all thought like this - add to the fact that the mark-up of this thick oil is like several hundred percent+! - you get some very RICH swindlers who are laughing all the way to the bank.

Maybe someone can dig up the materials data sheets (OSHA?) on this crap?

Note to self: Hmmm, don't ever ever ever buy anything in 'good working order' from jhammons01; Self confessed dishonest seller, knows multiple techniques...
