Lets all quit bickering. Hopefully this kid will get his car fixed and keep it in good shape. I just want to see some dyno numbers on that car, Judge Ito does some interesting stuff.

I am sure many people have already said this but if not, let me explain something to you. Mazda dealarship techs haven't got a clue when it comes to anything having to do with advanced rotary engine tuning, modifying, and even maintaining. All they know how to do is plug the machine into their computer equipment which will tell them which part on your car "needs" replacement.

In other words, NEVER TRUST A MAZDA TECH and furthermore, NEVER TAKE YOUR FC THERE! Ask around on the regional forum for your area for a local rotary mechanic. I would much rather have a small shop with a good reputation work on any of my cars than the Mazda dealership. Hondas have independent shops, so do VWs and German cars, so high dollar motorcycles and so do RX-7s.

*edit* after reading the entire thread, I feel comfort in knowing that I made the right decision to put 1987rx7guy on my ignore list last week. He is going further and further into his rants and insults and it detracts from the focus. Look at the direction this thread took after he made his entrance!

Really? Should I post some of the great ones? Hmmm... Lets see what I can dig up..

What else...

here he is positively identifying a wing for somebody...VERY HELPFUL.

Shall I go on?

Here he is commenting on some 15 year old that was proud to take his motor out...

Not sure but I am 98% positive its that one.
Wow, he is a whiz at identifying those wings.

I don't advise making a comment like that unless you know the guy personally. I know a lot of turbo guys who think they know the answer to N/A questions.

Ive owned 3 N/As. I think that qualifies me.

Than he should have bought a Honda or a KIA. Don't invest in the stock market if you are not going to watch qoutes frequently. He bought the car for show not dedication. When a piston driven car fails...more than likely someone knows how to work on it. A lot of people don't know what an engine is....but they have to drive. But why drive a car that if it fails you can't afford the repairs. 95% of the mechs at mazda don't know rotary and will rape you. More than 75% of the people in the world do not know how a rotary works.

So here we are. More of that famous elitism that you all seem to dislpay. You and santiago should get along famously.

So are you saying im cocky and stuck up.

Before you start adding me to your **** list

I did not offend anyone

I did not call anyone rice or gay.

Santigo is a joker and a lot of those comments pulled out of the threads seem harsh when out of context. Some people on the forum need to learn to be more "understanding" when making comments. I just don't like when people make personal attacks. If you have an issue with him talk to him personaly....have you ever try Pming hmm and say "hey your to harsh." or "whats wrong with you" If not he will continue the way he is.

People are buying 7's because its a trend now. I saw FnF and I want a fast car. Thats cool and all...but it comes with reponsiblities. The kid said he was going to check vacs on his own, probably with a friend and thats it and you come in with an attack. Geeez

I never said you didn't own an N/A or you were mister know it all.

your missing the point. You want a car fine. Instead of getting something modded up....why couldn't you start out stock and understand how it works. Are you saying a 16 year old should have a highly modded car. Barely any drving experience. Hmmm tell that to the guy I know whos son died because he gave him a supercharged mustang.

ALL IN ALL its his car. He can do what ever he wants.

****, I've seen some 16 year olds drive better than 25 year olds with a 'heavily modified car' age is irrelevant, personality is key.

Experience doesn't mean much with some personalities, like the drunk guys doing 90 in a 25, or the crazy people who think they're Paul Walker trying to drift through town. Now, get someone with a little experience who's doing the speed limit, and who's more likely to wreck? The experienced fast and furious d00d, or the slow driving inexperienced guy?

Take two people, a mild calm slow paced 16 year old who follows traffic laws. And a crazy 25 year old who thinks he's paul walker and tries to drift every corner, been driving 9 years, crazy as all hell. Now who's more likely to get in an accident? And you tell me personality doesn't matter?

im am sorry, but in no way does that support your point.

Older people are less likely to get into an accident than a teenager.

Yeah the 25 year old is going to crash....but FnF is not geared to 25 year olds. It is geared towards younger kids.

An experience driver and a driver with no common sense can not be compared

Yes they can. Both gain experience from driving, it's just one negates that experience due to their personality of loving to take higher risk.

I have a question for Div300mph.Is that the car in question in the link in your sig.If so on the engine page it shows a port in a side housing and says some thing underneath about a street port.Is this in fact the secondary ports that are in the motor in your car,it looks like the 5th&6th ports were made into one big port and then enlarged some more.If so I don't think a car with ports that large is going to idle at the factory spec.I don't know alot about porting but from what I understand the larger the ports the rougher the idle.I don't know if a car wth that port would idle smooth under 1000rpm or not.If that port job isn't in your car disregard this post.

This thread is done, 90% of its contents should have been dealt with in a PM.

And in the future, don't take you car to the dealer unless you want to pay up the *** for wasted time.

And you do need to read the manual, they are very complete in helping you fix any problem.
