Mazda 3 shift ****...compatible with FC?

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a short shifter kit of some sort for my s4 TII....however from what I'm reading it looks like most of the short shifter options have the s5 pattern thread, so I'll be needing to pick up a knew shift **** as well.

I was looking around on ebay and saw some mazda 3 ***** (5-speed) and was wondering if they had the same thread pattern as our cars? Does anybody know, or has anybody used one? Here is a link of an example.

Mazdatrix sells a SS with the S4 thread pattern. Your shift **** options with this thread pattern will be limited. A Mazda 3 shift **** will probably fit an S5 thread pattern. If you insist on buy the S4 SS you can always retap the **** to fit.

I have an S4 SS with a Mazdaspeed Protege **** that's been tapped to fit. Fit's like a glove.

I am most likely going to go with the s5 SS just because there seems to be alot more ***** that fit that shifter.

The Mazda3 **** will thread onto the S5, but not the S4.
