MMO was orig developed for use in Hgh speed industrial air compressors - it is unique in that it has VERY HIGH Film Strength and rather low viscosity (its film strength is higher than most 90wt gear oils) so it is very good for high speed small clearance applications - like Turbines or Turbo Chargers - it also has very good cleaning properties and prevents formation of carbon deposits - It is also sold as an Air Tool lubricant

love MMO

I regularly change the oil in my cars. The rx7 is changed at every 2000 miles and the rest of the cars in the family(eagle, dodge, ford, nissan) get 3000 mile oil changes.
I have noticed that with time, full oil/filter changes use less oil. For some reason, even with meticulous maintenance, carbon builds up and prevented/slowed oil drainback to the pan(especially with my old Maxima and Sentra).

Years ago a friend recommended MMO. He said "Add a quart to the oil a couple of days before your oil change and watch the **** flow". This stuff just dissolves everything and the oil comes out extremely saturated. It also can be used as a FI cleaner, fuel pump and injector lube, as premix, air tool lube..........

www.turtlewax.com has the full listing of MMO products. Use the site map to find MMO.

But, I can only recommend it as a detergent because I have seen it work as such. Try taking some carbonized spark plugs, O2 sensor, whatever, and soak them in a glass of MMO. You will see what I mean.
It seems to be to thin(low boiling/flash point/PSI lubricity rating) to be used long term.
