Drill and tap. Much easier to say then do. Grind the top of the stud flat, then center punch. Drill small, then go to the final size in several steps. Then tap out the hole or use a Helicoil kit.

You mean a Helicoil kit? They're not cheap anywhere. Most auto parts stores will carry them, but occasionally you may have to go to a fastener store to get metric sizes.

PEPBOYS had one when I was in need. They also had in the kit the drill bit for the size of the heli-coil.

I tried to drill the old stud out using a EZOUT, but failed. I ended up drilling with a small drill then a touch bigger drill and on and on. Just don't use a drill larger than the one for the heli-coil.

if it where you can get to it , take another bolt with a smaller diameter and weld it to the broken bolt. let it cool and then turn it out with a wrench. Old farm trick. The weld doesnt have be really strong, just tacked on pretty good.

Any fastener place. They're just metric studs.
