Mandrel bent exhauts...
Who makes a mandrel-bent exhaust system for NA FCs that doesn't cost an overly ridiculous amount? Would like something around 2.5" compatible with readily available header/converter combos.

It needs to not be stupid-loud either, although single sided is ideal...
OTOH, I imagine my system with a burnt out cat and no precat isn't real quiet either (maybe I just got used to it...).

The Racing Beat isn't *too* ridiculously $$$, but I was hoping for less than $500, and single sided...
It can be loud, just not race car or ricer loud. I'd consider a *loud* one that has a high-quality removable silencer so long as it doesn't sound buzzy, like the Apex'i GT.
I'm looking into getting an RB header/ Bonez cat-con combo...once I have the money.

Can't go wrong with Racing Beat for sound quality and levels. I've had both the stock manifold to downpipe to presilencer to "catback" and now I've got a header in there. I really like the way it sounds and it's not obnoxiously loud. It is a bit expensive and heavier than I'd like. I'm in the same boat more or less though, I'd like to replace the back section with something lighter in a ~2.5" single exit on the passenger side for weight reasons.
If you want something just the way you want for a decent price you could get a local shop to make something for you. I've heard good things about Borla XR-1 (?) mufflers on race cars anyway. Either way a single will be louder than a dual for a given backpressure.

I finally find some mufflers that fit my tastes perfectly:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/r...n.x8in.%20Oval
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...n.x8in.%20Oval
These magnaflow ovals (which are available in both race versions and street versions) have the exactly look I want, although they're not stainless steel filled (should be OK since I already have some Magnaflows and they seem to still work... the cat I have is totally burned out though, although I don't know for sure what brand it is).
Only issue is the inlet piping isn't 2.5 for the straight-cut tip mufflers... And the long tip version isn't available on the 3" version, apparently.
I see where you can get header and other exhaust reducers, but can you use those to make the exhaust piping bigger (2.5 to 3")?
Or, would 2.25" be big enough for a single side NA exhaust? (bolted to a cat/header combo that I think its 2.5, unless I just keep the stock manifold and use my non-mandrel downpipe and burnt out cat).

I just took a caliper to my disassembled exhaust, and it turns out my front pipe, resonator, and cat are 2.5", but the stock Y-pipe is only 2.12" or so... which is lame, to say the least.
Guess I might get the 3" version and use a reducer to attach it to some 2.5" piping. That way, if I go turbo, I can get a 3" system and use the same muffler...lol.
Although, it would be nice to use one of these: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
Instead of one of these:

Since the change is a lot more gradual.
