Making a launch controller

I know I seen a diagram on how to make a launch controller(2 step) somewhere on this site, but I cannot find it. Im just looking for a wiring diagram on how to make an ignition cut type launch controller. Yes, I searched. If someone could provide this information or a link that would be great.

Thanks in advanced.

most people use a standalone for this. you have three different channels that need to be retarded. the leading is one channel (wastespark), and the trailing each have to be separately controlled

Well from the way I understood it, the trailing is just cut completely. I am aware that its easiest to have an ems to run a 2 step, but I also know it can be made. I am looking to go to a haltech ems in the next year or so, but until then I'd like to run a 2 step system. Actually I think the main reason I want to build this is to challenge my self and prove I can do it.

Any wiring diagrams or suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are willing to cut the trailing completely, then any aftermarket box should work. Set it to 4 cylinder mode and away you go...

The way I see it, its a simple I/O device where I = CAS angle reading and rpm (or rpm/tach output from coils) and O = modified CAS angle output and rpm reading activated by a push button or switch.

If your good with electrical, draw it out on paper and see what you come up with.
