Main Ecu Wiring harness?

Is it ok to lengthen or shorten wires on the main ECU harness? Like wires going to the injectors, and everything else in that harness? I've heard you cant with the O2 sensor cause it goes by resistance. Is this true? Reason being I removed everything that I could and I just what to take different routs with the wires and most I need to shorten but dont know if I can.

the change in resistance is so minimal for ANY of those wires that functionality will not be affected if you shorten them. I'd be weary of lenghthening them by any great distance (say putting ecu in back of hatch for whatever reason) because the current required to drive the injectors will increase as the voltage drops.

I wouldn't be concerned with the change of the resistance for shortening the wires, other than your connections themselves as I am assuming you are not just shortening the wires into stock connectors/pin, but are instead butting the shortened wires together.

Go for it...
The O2 sensor wire is shielded, and you have to be careful with the shielding - one loose strand and you'll end up with a short to ground.
