how do you gut feel about one of thos on a rx7? any good? need a new one and thinking about one of thoes

My Honda had one, I always thought it was kind odd that my FC didn't. It's not like it ever attracted alot of metal, just a real fine sludge, but it felt like it was doing some good.

Victoria British sells magnetic drain plugs. They also sell a drain plug valve that makes it really easy to do oil changes. You may also be interested in one of those oil filter magnets.

Couldn't hurt. Also won't help a great deal, since modern oil filters take out any metal shavings of consequence.
