I've never used Maaco but instead my family has taken our cars to some no warrranty Mexican shops in ghettosville Houston. In 1993, as I was first learning how to drive, I careemed off a guardrail with my Volvo 940 Turbo. Fender and hood got smashed pretty bad, but the shop still bondo'd it instead of replacing it. After 10 years, the paint is still blue and still shiny. My only peeve is that the color doesn't exactly match, but it was like that when I got it back from the shop. If I had the entire car painted, then it would have been fine. Point is... make sure the shop you take it to does the necessary prep and it should be fine.
