Lowering Springs
Well summer has pretty much ended and the bi end of the summer bonus is soming up well not too big but should give me near a grand to play with. I've already decided on a centerforce dual friction clutch kit. I will also be gettin brake rotors and pads since i need em. What i want to know Is what are the best springs for a car that is daily driven, I drive 60+ miles a day and not on the nicest roads so i still want a decent ride and the least amount of off camber as possible. I've heard good things about RB springs but donb't know if i can afford them any other suggestions?

If you don't mind the "getto" stigma, you can cut the stock springs almost 1".
You have to be conservative & careful.
Anything more than 1” could let the spring release from the perch on rebound and cause major problems.
I cut the springs ¾” on my previous NA. Besides the better looking stance, they gave a slightly stiffer ride with better cornering.

I have heard good things about the Eibach and Racing Beat springs. A progressive rate spring would be best for a daily driver. I would definitely get some new shocks as well, either KYB AGX or Tokico are popular choices.

I had Eibach Pro's on all four corners + KYB AGXs as well on my last FC. It was firm, and you could feel all the bumps in the road, but it wasn't race-car stiff. It handled very nicely, and the stance was nice and aggressive.
That FC was daily driven.

i've got eibach pro's all around on my 88 se as well, the car handles great and looks great, AND you can easily feel every bump in the road
a little bit uncomfortable at times, though..

[QUOTE=ultradef]Thats a bad idea IMO...Its unsafe and it makes your car ride like ****.
It is unsafe only if you cut more than 1".
It's like booze - a little is fun - a too much turns everything to ****.

Well I won't be cutting my springs been there and done that on many cars and have never liked it. Its a fact that a cut spring will not be as good as a lowering spirng especially eibach or RB. So how much do with eibachs go for? and how much for kyb agx's?
Edit: i just noticed the eibachs only lower .8 according to the site. Is that true or does it lower slightly more than it says?

Hey dude Racing Beat right now is selling 4 springs that lower the car a modest 1 in and they are including 1 front and 1 back sway bar. All for just a cheap $429.30 they recomend if your shocks are old you should get new shocks, preferably Koni or Tokico , just to let the springs perform their best you can use them with your stockers.

i am legendary
Get a set of ground controls with custom spring rates. If you call them up you can get whatever spring rate you want for the fronts/rears, that way you can have an adjustable height with whatever kind of ride you want (soft or stiff). Then get some better shocks and ur golden.

Either way, good lowering springs like the Eibachs or Racing Beat will make your car handle much better, and I'm sure it will still lower your car a little.
