low impedance questions for 87 T2
If i have a 87 tii ECU that used low impedance injectors (550cc's) can I still by pass the resistor box beings I dont have one by just soldering the end of the wires together where the pigtail would have plugged (mated) into the resistor box pigtail?

Repeat after me:
The stock ECU has NOTHING to do with the fuel injector impedence...
The stock ECU has NOTHING to do with the fuel injector impedence...
The stock ECU has NOTHING to do with the fuel injector impedence...
The engine wiring harness takes care of that.
I dunno what you're trying to do - your sentence doesn't make any sense.
Did you lose your resistor network?
Why do you want to bypass it?
Are you swapping in high impedence fuel injectors?
Do you know about the different plugs?
You CANNOT bypass the resistors and still run the low impedence fuel injectors.
You're going to end up FRYING the stock ECU.

sorry no I am trying to run high impedance 550cc's and yes i did switch the plugs. I did lose the resistor box, well it actually was crushed when i received the harness. So , the ECU has no affect on what injectors i buy and use. Cool. I just wanted to make sure I was doing it alright and stuff.

I found very useful info about this very subject on www.rotaryressurection.com Just go to the tech section and there is a detailed writeup with all the information you need. (But Ted covered it well)

i did this, how? i bought a j-spec engine harness with s5 t2 injectors got rid of the resistor pack, tho im curious about something when doing this
reted iv herd if running high imp injectors mess up the usdm ecu drivers? i am aware that the ecu has nothing to do with the imp of the injectors but is there a possibility?

running high impedence injectors when you have a low impedence harness is stupid IMO. You are going to want to upgrade to something bigger, and most of the bigger injectors are low impedence. Just find low impedence injectors and put them in. You won't have to hack up your harness that way...
trust me, 87 turbo harnesses are the best. they have a stock resistor pack and standard Bosch injector clips that can work with just about any aftermarket injector (assuming the clips haven't fallen apart by now).
