low cost roll cages/bars for FC?

hello all i recently just bought some seats the seats came with harnesses. I hear and reason with people saying that if you where those harnesses without a roll cage/bar you are screwed.... or a shortened during a roll over because you cant slide down out of the seatbelt during impact with the roof ....ouch so who makes the lease expensive roll bar with harness bar and without? alsow what do you guys think about that style of harness? whats the fun of having raceseats if you cant buckle down in them from time to time

CP racing has cheap roll bar/4 point cages but there quality is questionable. A few people have used the autopower roll bar/cages on here. There is even a write up on teamfc3s I think.

A rollcage/rollbar is one thing not to "cheep out" on.
Next thing is you'll be asking about "monkey barz"

Kirkracing.com has a good bar. They even make one for Verts.

www.cpracing.ca has them and they are nice....the only beef I have with it is how your head will come in contact with it on impact IF you are tall and have the seat all the way back....
CP racing custom roll cage 1 3/4 tube with an .095 wall, mandrel bends, can be welded or bolted into vehicle, requires NO ASSEMBLY of cage, all prewelded just painting required. Easily installed by removing seats and slipping into place. Can be used with or without interior, perfect for road course, drag, show cars or drifting. Seats can still be moved back all the away without hitting cross brace, allows for harness mounting

NEVER go cheap on restraints or roll cages or anything that pertains to safety or vital mechanical parts

The rollover info is a myth. The 3-point harness was developed by Volvo to augment the lap belt while still allowing for some movement of the passenger and for ease of use. A traditional 4-point harness limits movement too much for the public and is more difficult to use, even though it offers better protection, especially in a rollover or other collision involving lateral forces. The real reason the roll cage is suggested is because it is difficult to mount the shoulder belts properly without a horizontal bar behind the seat. See your favorite racing rules (SCCA, NHRA, etc.) or the Simpson web site for proper restraint mounting:

I think it doesn't look like any other H-harness that I have seen. The H-straps usually attach to the buckle, or right next to the buckle. Make sure your restraints have some type of certification (SFI, FIA, etc.). It's not a very good idea to drive around with seat belts made only to Chinese or Mexican sweatshop specs.

Sparco 4 point are good harness' and arent to expensive. U can get either bar mounted or floor mounted harness' also. As for the roll bar, dont cheap out on one of those if ur actually planning on doing road racing.
