Lots of oil in lower intake ???

I took off the lower intake in y 89GXL so I can cut my pineapple sleeves and j/b weld them in , but doing so I found little puddles of oil in each of the 4 ports on lower manifold and engine side ports. Just clean yellowish sploches of GTX. When I turned the engine off It was still cold because I had to just take it up the street in my driveway. My ? is if this is normal ?

By the way. I have the Pineapple sleeve cut half way right by the insert. Then I took a sanding drum for the dremel and grinded away the sides till they were sharp so airflow comes in , in sort of a ramp fashion. Worked great.

That comment seems decidedly unfriendly.

I wouldn't recommend shutting the engine off during the warm-up stage as it runs very rich and can accelerate carbon build-up. Engine oil in intake manifold is to be expected as it is injected into the intake manifold and if you cut the engine any suspended oil in the intake air is going to condense and form puddles in your LIM.

What the ****! last time I offer any ****** help in here.

It's mother ******* normal for oil to be in there. I noticed it the first time i took mine off. It's called metered oil injection , inherant to Mazda's 13B design.

Hahaha, somebody needs some sleep. Look at who posted what. Von posted a question, you answered his question, and someone else said your statement wasn't very friendly, who had nothing to do with the thread. I simply said it was funny you weren't going to help anybody anymore, because someone who had nothing to do with the help you gave said it was unfriendly. Somebody needs a hug.

Lol. Thnx Rat. Free hugs over here.

Thnx dre. I thought it was normal. This goes to show that its not a good idea to shut the engine off when cold. That puddle im sure if left long enoughf will get tacky and stick or whatever im sure its not good. At least I know my OMP is working.
Im not worried about carbon build up I shut my car off when cold every now and then. I take really good care of it.
