where are you learing how to do this rebuild anyways, how do you check what in spec?
UH...hello? Factory service manual.

BTW, you're doing pretty well thus far, but don't get overconfident, the actual cleaning and assembly is what gets most people.

NEVER reuse apex seals if they have more than 20k miles or so on them. Just say no. They're cheap.

NEVER reuse water seals at all.

Don't worry about the rubber cornerseal plugs...they have no real effect on compression, and serve no real purpose after 10-20k miles anyway. I see them as a waste of money.

Other than that, carry on.

Well all my info has come from haynes manual,FSM, Atkins rotary rebuild tape, Dan atkins,Kevin landers and the fourm.. i only play to reuse the sideseals,cornerseals,oil rings(not the oil ring o ring insert)Side seal springs.. the rest i plan to get new

also i frogot one major player in my rebuild that is DDUB on the forum.... he has helped me a major amount through talking on aim... if it wernt for him it probably wouldent be happeing

i dont think i could live having a freshly rebuilt rotary in my rx7 and not have a license to drive it... you should get a fake ID

e-shafts dont really get out of spec too easily unless something really crazy happened

wow im impressed, im 20 and getting my 3rd rx-7 but havent even worked on my cars a whole lot. however my newest is a turbo ii and i plan on doing a lot of work, along with building up a spare engine.

what i want to know is how have you owned 4 fcs so far? your parents must have a huge backyard
