losing battery power.....what could it be?
i have recently had a draw on electrical power and dont know where it could be coming from. i have a "brand new" battery, my alternator is reading 14.5 volts under load while it was tested, and i have inspected every electrical connection on the car including grounds, power wires, connectors, ecu pins, all male and female pins and connectors for corrosion, all relays, etc. i have not found anything that could be the power draw.
when i go to start the car on a brand new battery, it trys to start for the first 3 or 4 seconds, then the power is drained and i have to jump it.
could it be a bad starter solenoid starving the engine of power try to turn the flywheel? this is the only thing i can think of. the starter is actually the only thing i have not replaced since i started having this problem...

have you tired checking for for any parasitic current draw? shorts are always fun... hook your multimeter in series between your negative cable and terminal and see if your car is drawing any amps. If it seems to draw alot start pulling fuses and watch your amps to see if pulling fuses affect your numbers.

well, i fixed the power issue. the starter was d.e.a.d..................i went ahead and rewired the whole driverside wire harness with new battery cables leading to the starter and it works GREAT! i regrounded the negative cable to the bottom bolt hole of the trailing coil bracket which works very well. better spot because it does not get any kind of moisture to it.
still having a no start prob though...

You really need to buy or borrow a multimeter to check it the way mephisto said. It should be drawing a few tens of milliamps at most. If that fails figure it out based on the fuse that fixes it or post the name of that fuse here. Or if that checks out good then describe what it's doing when you try to start it: does it crank at all, etc.
