Looking for undertray pics /thoughts
I tried searching. I know that yellow FC w/ FC2k kit has a custom tray but couldn't find it.
Well here in AZ they have said this weekend will hit 113 degrees.
YEAH! Like I'm looking forward to this ****.
So I'm going over my cooling system with a fine tooth comb.
I've already got a koyo but want to maximize the air flow.
I will be replacing the top panels with a CF or aluminum cover panel.
I also want to try and fab up an undertray or just ducting for the radiator to help seal up spots where air can escape past the radiator.
Have any pics of the above mentioned under tray or ideas? or mods/pics?
Thx

The stock plastic peices in front of the radiator will work alot better than just a flat cf or aluminum peice. With that big flat part you have a big gap and the air gets turbulent (sp?)

just got an under belly tray today from a friend of mine. Will be installing it tomorrow. NOw to find the guy that was making that top radiator tray for pretty cheap. I've got the same problems as you man. I think it got upwards of about 98* here today and my oil temps where somewhere around 220-225
so now I'm doing the same thing. Is it true if you have a fmic that blocking the scoop helps alot?

ive seen somewhere a aluminum undertrat panel that someone made .... would installing one of those be an improvement over the stock piece? i figure why buy a stock piece if u can spend the money (and time) and get something better.

It's only better if it is designed properly and is as aerodynamic as the stock piece while properly directing airflow. Can you do that yourself? It's harder than it seems really.

I will probably leave the stock under tray on. I might add some paneling to help direct flow though.
You know. get rid of all those holes and places air can escape through.
I am currently have way through making a template for the upper radiator panel. I don't have the stock intake system anymore so that extra ducting is useless.
I might fab up a aluminum fan shroud as well and install my 2900 cfm Finger chopper fan. I'm going to try anything I can to get temps down.
::==:: I already know the stock fan is the ****. I know from experience. BUT I am going to see if an E-fan will be able to help at idle situations.
