OK hear is the deal, Yes it is an auto. BUT I already have an extra 5 speed in the garage and have been rearching the swap. If the engine is going to be swaped the tranny will be done at the same time. If not it will depend on when I get time.
Next, I tried the ATF thing last night. It seemed to want to start more. However when it would start to fire up I would hear a 'clang' Really hard to tell where it is comming from. That would drop the rpm's back to zero. Also, the engine shakes violently when trying to start it. Whats up with that?
Tonight I my brother in law is bringing one of his buddys over who worked for a mazda dealership for 7 years. In the hayday of the rotary. If it is startable he will get it running.
Any other advice or opions?
Thanks,
Steve

Still one question he asked that needs answering
He has a S4 engine he is thinking on dropping in while just bolting on the S5 intake and emmission stuff.
First observation is that he will need a S4 flywheel to replace the S5, or S4 counterweight with a lightened steel aftermarket flywheel.
Any other contributions?
