logicon not working (idiot cluster does tho)
i just swapped dashes in my '86 - now the logicon doesnt work (no lights or anything), but my idiot lights DO work. as far as i know they run off the same fuse. what happened?! the logicon is plugged in (all 3 connectors), and im almost positive the unit itself isnt dead (i tried another one i have that i know works, and its the same story)
i have the FSM, but i cant figure out which wires are supposed to supply 12v.

update- the logicon is fine- its something in the blower's wiring. if i supply 12v to the LgB wire (the one by itself stuck to the front of the blower) the logicon works, and all the vents work, but the blower doesnt. i swapped in another blower that i KNOW works and its the same deal. this really has me stumped. i now know the blower provides power for the logicon via the LgB wire, but its not happening. someone please help...

it has been solved! turns out the logicon is powered by the blower, whicc is wired through the starter cut relay. which i no longer have (engine swap).
so i found the main power wire for the blower/logicon, which runs back to the starter cut relay, and just supplied it with 12v from somewhere else. dont remember where.. its been a while. it works fine now, except for the minor detail that the logicon/blower stays on when cranking.

I wonder though. I still have my starter cut relay. Maybe I blew it out though>? The logicon on my car doesn't work at all, but if I go to the blower motor harness and jumper thick blue and medium-thin yellow wires, the Logicon powers up and things work.
The wires I jumpered to power it up are thin black and thick light blue on the vehicle side of the plug. If I can't sort this out, I'll just splice in a 12v+ that's on with the ignition in the 'on' position to power the logicon.

Question..why would the Blower Power the Logicon?..the Logicon is a Switch that gives power to the Blower,is it not?..If you Jumper Wires at the blower aren't you just Putting power Directly to the Blower and Bypassing the Logicon?.

thats just the way its wired. its kinda confusing and took me like a week to figure out with the FSM...
power comes in from the starter cut relay, through the blower, and off to the logicon. the logicon then sends power back to the blower to turn it on/off. (gay i know)

This had me screwed up for awhile too. I'm going to use your solution now to take car of my troubles Josh. But the Logicon does indeed receive power from the blower motor harness.
