a little thanks for the info
i posted about my clock dimming fuse blowing warning light thing and got advise todo some resoldering. i put a few hours into the resoldering, i resoldered every solder joint on the entire unit (fun) put it back in and fired it up, that clock was lighting up the night sky for me. yipppeeee. only time will tell if its permanent, but thanks to the wise posters for the advice. mazda sure skimped on the soldering of that thing. everytime i touched a joint it left a blank spot when the gun collected the solder, i was laughing. whoever figured this out, you are a genius.
the bad part is that my power mirrors always only worked in a outward direction, so i got all solder happy and decided to try it on the switch. if youve ever taken apart the switch for the first time you know what im about to say....i almost cried when i dissassembled it man little metal peices went everywhere. the problem is that the plastic inside is all broken. the switch for the driver/passenger option is held up by two plastic peices connected to the bottom of the unit. i rigged em up to get it to work loosely, so i decided to try to refabricate and reaatach thes two little peices. i should have left well enough alone since it worked ok, but i wanted perfection, an hour later and a little tinkering and now i have manual mirrors...lol
anyone know where to get the power mirror switch cheap? its an 89 vert
thx

I can probably get one from an 88 vert. I would have to check at lunch to make sure the car is still there. Not sure if there is a difference between S4 and S5 cars or if you can use a switch out of a non-vert (someone?). I'll let you know later if I can get it.

those switchs show up all the time on Ebay, and Mazda used the same switch for a bunch of cars in the mid-late eighties.
The plugs will match up no matter what year FC you get it from
