how did you get such low compression on the front rotor and high on the rear?

And, Yes my buddy with the LS crx is a fool. We all laugh at him. LS integs running 6psi of boost on street tires still only put down a 15.1 at brainerd intl raceway. (which is where I'll be running next season)
ummm...no. It's not worth it, bask in your knowledge. Ignorance is bliss.

Yeah, Lets see some timeslips and a dyno run or two. The highest horsepower n/a is a pp and you get about 260-300 from it, that is what you would need to run 13s.

You know, when I was hitting 65% I was flatspotting (lean misfire) i was getting big numbers, but It clearly wasn't worth it.

Well, I've openly invited dre 2000 to see it friday night. then he can tell you himself. So far I haven't heard back from him yet.

Where the **** do you think you need 260-300hp to break 12's???? My roommate with the turbo LS integra while running 10 psi put down 236hp at the wheels and ran a 12.69 in a car 400lbs heavier than mine. He can't pull away from me while running 12psi right now.

I'm also waiting to dyno till I replace my plenum and TB with bigger better stuff.

Hey there everyone....a newbie to this forum here. As for my neon, i think i you are severly underestimating its potential. For one its a 95 not a 96, and there is a difference, the 95 has a more aggressive cam, i also have some mior weight redux, and a short throw which really helps keep the revs up, and no ac or ps. I also have a lot more drag racing experience, and a few nights ago you couldn't keep up with me going up the hill on route 1, and a atx saturn ran with you for your at least your first two gears, you should have slaughterd him out the hole even after the stall. I really think you don't have a chance yet, maybe with the headers you will be able to keep up , but i say at best you are running 16's now. And as for tq, my clutch is loosing grip in my powerband after i added the udp...and my clutch is only registered to 135 ft/lb, but i am ready to solve this mystery if with a weak clutch whenever you are....i'll even put money on it, small friendly wager if you are on! Just in case some think this, i am not here to troll, just defending my "get no respect" car...

I know my car didn't start out as a true sports car like yours, but it does have potential. Not all of us have the money in the begining or are giving a sports car as our first car. A neon is what i got, i love it, and i will make the best out of it. And if ppl aren't open minded enough to aknowledge that fact...oh well not my problem. And the look and things ppl say when they find they just got beat by a NA neon is priceless.

well lets see, you do have more track expierience, my car needs a tune up, my clutch is a bit weak, and as for my accelleration because im running with an automatics diff. gearing my times will be a bit slower. and lets talk about your best time of 15.9. oh yeah, and as for the saturn i backed off because of my front oil seal prob. unless you want to see me spray oil everywhere again. not to mention i had a passenger. and you will be raped after the headers. one more thing, you slllowwwwwly pulled on a car with off tuning and a passenger going uphill.

and im not being closedminded, but it'll take more mods to make a fast neon than it would to make a fast 7.

ok, Mr. Black, your car is automatic? Well....everyone knows that the automatic rx-7s tend to be slower than the 5spds. Does the guy with the del sol have a 5 spd? Because I have an 86' base model 5spd and I went on a run with a 99' civic si on the highway, I stayed with him until 120mph and then I was walking him. So who knows? maybe you can smoke the del sol. -Kurt

Ok, everyone... I'll admit it. I lied. I don't hit 61.5% on my afm. Today I registered a 62.5%.

I used to have a 4 banger mustang (my first car). I raced v8's who i would haul of the hole because of better timingonb the light, then they would sto and ask me :what do you got in that thing, i would just eack m y ss off. [/B][/QUOTE]

Dude,
Did you ever learn where the right keys are on the key board. I'm not trying to be rude but try a spell checker so people can figure out the garbbled message.

peace,

all i have to say is...LETS DO THIS!!!! It will solve all these issues. And prove my point
Oh and my bet time of 15.9 is because of the clutch. When i throw the Stage III on, no more slippy clutch. But guys on my board are running 15.6 with just intake and exhaust....if you don't believe go over there and check it out.

I realize you're from KY so I was gonna cut you some slack, but drag tracks usually arent open when there's snow on them. Genius, It's 26 degrees outside here and the tracks wont open again for another 4 mo's....

Can I play here too?
Hey Jimmy, you only go to Brainerd? Rock Falls is under an hour from me, BIR is about 2 hours. It's been a couple of years since I've been to BIR, I'm overdue. I'll watch you run, you watch me run my POS Neon. I'll be going mid13s in April. Don't forget the SOHC Neon is the "slow" one too....

so you just proved my point for me. you are claiming you have a 13 second NA and you haven't been to the strip.

I haven't, that's very true. Funny, I've never claimed to have been to the track with this car yet. Kinda helps to have a windshield to pass tech. (mines cracked till I get it replaced later this week) And it also helps to have an engine that doesn't blow coolant out the overflow all over the track. (had just bought the car last summer and waited for 3 extra weeks on my TII intermediate housing so I missed the last track days in the fall)

But, In my defense... Everyone who's seen my car who races says I run a mid 13 right now. I can run with brand new SScamaros off the line up to as fast as I want to go. Since they too are a 13.7 second car it would be safe to assume that I am running a 13 second 1/4 mile.

I will probably be at rock falls a couple times next year, but seeing as brainerd is putting in a new all concrete 1/4 mile track I'm thinking that is going to be the money ticket for the fast runs. Its a much better track than RF and is far closer to me here in St Cloud.
