Question Lexus AFM into 7?

OK, this is a rather popular upgrade to the supra's, they get an AFM off of the V8 lexus's. And the only difference from the turbo supra's AFM is that the lexus AFM flows 25% more air than the stock 7MGTE's AFM. And the stock supra turbo's AFM is a carbon vortex, so I believe this would only work on the S5's.

Anyways, does anyone know if this would work? I know the NA supra, and S4 NA AFM's are interchangable because I have swapped them out, and my car acctually ran better... So does anyone know if this has been done?

The reason I ask is because I have one, and I am looking to sell it because I am going to put a VPC onto my 7MGTE rather than a lex AFM, and larger injectors...

Ohhh, and also when you put on the lex AFM, you also upgrade to 25% bigger injectors to compansate for the extra air flow that the AFM alows, but I am wondering if they are compadable.

If anyone knows post it up!

You can buy it from me for $150, and test it on your S5 NA/TII for me!!!!

Anyone in the local area want to let their S5 be a ginny pig? It should work find, you woud just have to get larger (on TII I think it would need at least 680cc injectors) injectors for you car...

On the turbo's I think this would also help with a faster spool up...

Damn...

An explenation?

Also is the S5 just a regular vane flow sensor like the S4? Or is it like a karmen vortex/hotwire?

it's a sliding vein,.. the vane is just coneshaped instead of a bigg flapper, the karmen counts the vortexes a little cone shapped thing makes with ultrasonic pulses, much more high tech/better

The real problem is that our afm's read 5-0v when almost everything out there reads 0-5v, so adapting is hard,...

Yeah, I read up on how all the AFM/MAFS work, but I thought the S5's were karmen vortex...

Shoot... Forgot the FD was a map style ECU (Or I think it is)... CRAP!

Back to the supra people...

why not get rid of the AFM?

Well that is what my goal is, but I was trying to find another place to sell this, and see if it would give the RX-7 a better flowing intake like it does on the supra. But it's now been blown completly out of the water.
