These long screws are from our first prototype. Were in the process of purchasing some small and possibly black screws and nutts.

Few more Daytime pics.

how thick is the panel?
Damn I don't remember!!!! I'll ask my friend tomorrow. It's thin but unbreakable

if its all ugly rails and screws and grease and wires i dont want it.
The srews we will use are small and black. Not like the one in the picture above. When we host the video on saturday you'll b ble to see it perfect.

I can't really tell from the pictues but have you thought about counter sinking the screws so they are flush with the glass? Then maybe using a resin to fill int the screw top to make it perminate and smooth from side to side
?

just an idea

The guy from the company hit it with a hammer and it did'nt break.

If someone is going to break into your car, they'll probably break the door window first,

i think he meant by unscrewing the panel and taking it off (getting in from the top)

i always say:if someone is going to steal your car, they are going to steal your car. (assuming its possible) I would rather they unscrewed the lexan top (and maybe throw it in the trunk ) then have them bash the window in. One way if you get your car back, its got a bashed window which can be costy to replace, and the other, might not be harmed.

Is there any possabilities of making a sun cover for it like car's with T-tops? I saw my friend's 300ZX has these little covers that snap onto the tops so you don't get the brunt of the sun when you don't want to.

PS- I might actually have cash to buy one now

Please explain to me and everyone else how you got the lexan or whatever material you are using to conform to the curve of the roof - it is not possible to do it by pushing the material around as you bolt it in place - if it does give the correct curve with pressure it will very soon start to crack and break as intolerable stress is placed on the bolt-points.
I pioneered the lexan roof panel three years ago and I know how I achieved the curve - your response as how you did it and how your solution would stand up to Canadian winters will be illuminating. I wish I could post some pictures of my roof panel, but, unfortunately it is currently -19C and the roof is frozen shut until weather improves.

My solution is I won't ship them to Canada

J/K

The provider of the Material assured us that the Polycarbnate is unbreakable. So I'm not worried about them cracking. Besides the six screws that hold the sunroof on, have very little torque.

As far as the curve goes, I will post the pics and Video next week.
