Leaking injectors?

I imagine my injectors are leaking, seeing as how I have to pull the egi fuse and crank it/repeat a few times to get it to start if it's been sitting less than a couple of hours after driving. And it's getting kinda tiresome. Is my only option to replace them? I have searched, and since the car is new to me I will be doing a full tune up soon, but I doubt it's the plugs/wires since they look new-ish. Maybe a bottle of injector cleaner? Can I just replace the o-rings? I searched but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. It seems to be getting worse, but maybe it's my imagination? Any help will be great, thnks.

send them off to a shop like cruzin performance. They charge like 12 bucks per injector to clean, flow test and blueprint them.

Is that a guaranteed fix (rebuilt or whatever) or just to see what the damage is?

If you are strapped for money, a fuel cut switch would be a cheap alternative

Flooding is caused by either leaking injecotrs, low compression or a combination of the two. So fixing the injectors is not a guaranteed fix, unless you rebuild the enigne at the same time.

I hope to avoid a rebuild right now...not one of my plans this early in the game. I haven't ran a compression test on it myself, but the PO did just before I bought it and he said it was good. Don't know what good is, but I assume it's good lol. So those prices are per injector? I guess it's cheaper than new injectors. As far as the switch goes...I don't know if I want to go that route.

Oh, and I was referring to sending them out to get cleaned solving my leaking issue.

So was I. If compression is low then having the injectors cleaned probably won't fix the problem. Getting the injectors cleaned is still a good idea, but unless you're absolutely sure about the compression, there are no guarantees...

You know, I've got a similar but opposite problem. As long as I start the car every day or two, it fires right up, but if I let it sit 3+ days, it won't start. I have to pull the injector fuse and crank crank crank, put it back in, and most times it fires right up.

Right now I haven't been able to get it going for almost a week. I keep having to pull the battery, take it upstairs, and put it on the charger. Last night I cranked it for at least 5 minutes (not constantly) and when I put the fuse in, it sounded like it was going to start, but then just bogged down and continued to crank over.

The previous owner told me this was caused by the leaking injectors, which I plan on getting rebuilt as soon as I can get some time to pull everything apart and send them in. Until then, is there anything I can do to ease my frustration and the load on my car battery?
