Leaded Race Gas

I would like to use Race Gas in my car, but it's leaded!
Will it still work?

I think all it does is screw up your O2 sensor.

You should be able to buy unleaded race fuel. I bought some here once.

I'm not totally sure about this, but I think the lead and catalytic converter don't get along too well. Stick to unleaded - is Sunoco 94 not good enough?

at the local 76 in pasadena off the 110 freeway, they have 100 octane for $4.75 a gallon. I used to get some once in a while

Is your car tuned for race gas? If not, it will not do ANYTHING for your car... Its a waste of money. In fact, your car will have less horsepower.

The reason I wanted to run race gas is to avoid detonation when I'm running 15 PSI.
I don't have any cats.
In Idaho, we don't have Sunaco. We do have Stinker and they sell 94 octane, but they use ethanol and I heard that it isn't good for our cars.
I have been throwing octane booster in there, but have also heard negative things about that.

Leaded fuel will kill an O2 sensor in nothing flat. There are several unleaded race fuels. Whoever is supply the leaded fuel should be able to find unleaded as well. Sunoco, Trick, Cam2, Unocal, Turbo Blue. Check the web to see which ones have an unleaded fuel.

when I goto the track they have leaded and unleaded.
unleaded like 104 or 106 for like 4.50 a gal
leaded 110 and 112 for like 8 a gal

that is how I was able to run 18psi on my motor with out popping it with my 4 720's hitting 100%dc

Well.... I found out that the gas I can get is LEADED!!!! It's TRICK Race Gas. 110 Octane. $4.30 gallon.
I know you can get additive to lead gas. Wish there was one to unlead it!
