lead plugs

i just bought new ngk spark plugs,and he said there are lead plugs on the car and other ones,when im lokingat the motor,wich ones are the leads?

The plug hole with a L next to it is leading and the one with the T trailing.

Which basically means, the leading are on the bottom, and the trailing are on the top.

I believe the bottom plugs are the leading ones.

thanks,about a week after i bought this car off my bro,i randomly stuffed some off brand plugs in,they were rotary plugs,but i didnt put the leads and what not where they are suposed to go.and ive had a few smoking problems since then,and it doesnt seem to rev smoothly,it doesnt miss,just not smooth.and the car was fine for 20k before i got my hands on it,so im thinking thats it

so the leads are the bottom,not back,were talking the two closest to the ground right?

just curious, what exactly makes the plugs different? Different heat ranges? Different gaps? What?
