MY two cents:
I know this is pretty impractical mod. I have an S5 and am doing a rear end and hatch rework. Removed the bins, recarpetting, adding stablizing bars on the strut towers (lower) and alond both the floor behind the seats and the flat area above the gas tank. I can put the seats down to about 150-165 degrees. Its incredible-- can literaly lay down in the car-- not that i have a need to, but that you could...yeah...
hold on let me get a pic

Yes I know my car is an automatic, the tranny is dieing (has two gears left) and the manual driveline parts are on their way next week.
This is an ongoing project, unfortunately I have dound that I am not nearly as good at bending and cutting metal as I thought I would have been, *shrug* I'm working right now on making a stress bar to cross the floor behind the seats and can't get the bend right. I planned to carpet over the bars, and hence parts are not yet finished.
I'm not sure you would want to consider this. Also, I at one time ran a 5pt harness behind the driver's seat rail. Made it so the seat could not move back more than .5 inches. Was horrible, I'm 5'11 and I couldn't hardly drive my car. Haha, let my mom drive it for about 8 months, she absolutely loved it. She seemed a bit unhappy when i came to pick it up and work on it a bit again!
