![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Hello-
So when installing my RB springs/Koni yellow shox on my newly acquired 1990 T2 (WooHoo!)
I found the entire right rear suspension arm moved 1-2 inches laterally (left-right in relationship to the car)
(Doh!)
On inspection, I found the lateral link on the right side was loose, and the nut was loose on the bolt on both ends.
Exactly as described in this thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/rear-suspension-lateral-link-%2Anut%2A-keeps-spinning-how-remove-pics-697581/
Luckily, I purchased an electric impact wrench from homedepot and it spun the nut right off, and I tapped the link out.
It looks brand new, except the threaded portion appears bent in relation to the tapered portion. Both ends firmly but smoothly move about in an angled circle, and clean grease oozes out of the boot a tiny bit as I move them.
After looking at the pictures, should I buy a new one, or try to simply tighten them down now that I've cleaned up the threads to allow the nuts to smoothly go on/off?
Thanks for your input,
steve
-On a side note, the left one is tight but slightly bent so I'm getting a new one for that side anyways. It doesn't look as new as this one, so i'm sure there's been an accident sometime in the past 18 years.

You already have to get a left, get a new right as well. You'll need to have the rear toe checked as I bet it's way out of whack.
If you have a couple extra bucks or want to upgrade, consider this:
