Lateral link help

im in the process swapping out my 4 lug rear hubs for 5 lug ones and in the process i had to disconnect the lateral link from the trailing arm and while tryint to reinstall the lateral link the screw just spins and wont tighten. i was wondering how i hold the screw in place while i tighten the bolt?

There are two things that could have happened.

The first I would look at is you may have put the Lateral link in wrong. I forgot which goes where but take a look at the parts diagram to figure it out. If you do that and figure you have the link in the right holes. The ball joint is worn out and the link should be replaced.

They are pricey too...over $100 new from the dealer.
