Hassan from the teamfc3s forum is pushing 440rwhp at 14psi through a GReddy Vspec. Tony Farkas is pushing almost 500rw on the older greddy FMIC, wich is smaller.

obviously good enough to run that power
im also running a vspec and i must say it was a great mod. Noticeable gains in power right off the bat. And helpped run that 15psi on the stock turbo! then i blew up ... but i drove it like that for about 6 months!
I wanted to see how long it would last. Shitty hayes rebuild blew up on me.

as for calling me a moron... what the **** is your place to call me a moron? Because I was testing out the effeciency level of the stock s5 turbo? Because I didnt care if the engine blew, i have another (100x better) engine ready to put in. Oh im sorry, but you knew everything about me and my car didnt you. ******* pathetic peice of ****. As for the 15psi on the stock turbo not being efficient ... i disagree, you know why? Because ive TESTED it .. **** for brains. Jesus christ im sick of these ******* forums, i swear to god. Its like everyone thinks they are sooooo right and they know everything. Anyone who has a different view on anything is wrong, anyone who proves someone wrong .. is still wrong, youre bitch *** probably drives around in a busted up gxl thinking hes hot ****, mr. know it all turbo man arent ya. You've read the forums, you know evvvvery thing there is to know! I bet you even make turbo chargers, dont ya! You read flow charts for fun huh?! You even flow tested the s5 turbo didnt ya!
I swear to god ... some people on these forums are just complete and utter retards. Why cant everyone get along without having to go through **** like this. Why not say this...
"15 psi! thats alot for the stock turbo ... ive never done that so i cant say **** but, thats an awful lot of boost for the stock turbo!"
but no, you just had to go and call me a moron with the first 2 words in your reply. ....arg...

It was not the shitty hayes rebuild that blew your motor. It was you running 15lbs of boost on stock fuel. that was what blew the motor. their is not a engine builder in this world that can build you a engine that will hold 15lbs of boost on stock fuel setup.

Lets see 2 prior motors blow from Hayes Rotory, so instead of figuring out what is blowing the motors, lets just drop in a 3rd motor from the same builders that had 2 prior ones blow. ... I hope you never get a job in medicine. It's called cause and effect .. somthing else is causing these motors to blow.. my best guess is it's the moron behind the wheel, sticking his head under the hood.
You call that "testing out the effeciency level of the stock s5 turbo" Please, there is not a thing you have mentioned that even comes close to being considered "testing" What you are doing is acting like a moron to your poor car.
"youre bitch *** probably drives around in a busted up gxl thinking hes hot ****"
Once again your on to me. All you have to do is view my profile, or look at my signature to see what I drive. Instead, like a moron you infer I am driving a busted up gxl.
"as for calling me a moron... what the **** is your place to call me a moron?"
Everything that you have said so far has done nothing but reiderate my original point. You are a moron.

The efficiency of the stock turbo because of it's impact desing turbine means that it build boost fast and strong but this sacrifices top end. the stock turbo is not very efficient after about 12-14PSI (S5) and 11-13PSI (S4). But you must have known that since you have tested it.
Now just because you can get the stock turbo to go to 20 psi doesn't mean you are doing any good for it! it isn't efficient after 12-14 PSI so all you are doing is making that little turbo go faster and faster and faster. But it can't compress any more air. so you aren't making any more power at 18psi on the stock turbo than you were at say 13psi. Sorry to burst your buble but don't go arround bashing forums and the knowlege in it before you think about what you are going to say. Because of this comment I would have to aggree with RPECK, you are a moron... not because you are stupid or anything like that but simply because that was a completely moronic statement.
But You know soo much more than me right?

Hmm, interesting opinions here....
A few things that I'll throw in:
1) Shorter piping on an IC has ABSOLUTELY ZERO to do with increase responce of any sort. Just to be clear on that since it is a very common misconception. Go read Corky Bell's Maximum Boost for more info, but basically the air inside the IC piping is moving SOOOOOO fast, that the time to fill is negligible. We're talking 100's (if not 1000's) of miles per hour of air flow through the intake track and at that speed the different between 10in and 10ft is not going to be noticed.
2)The primary concern should be IC efficiency and pressure drop. The Greddy kit is really very nice for this but I can't quote specifics other than it seems to work fine.
3)The GReddy 3 row or any other FMIC that thick, has no business in a street car. You need massive speed to get air flow through something like that which you will no achieve driving around town. That will end up being a huge air path restriction to your radiator. The 3 row should be reserved for road racing IMHO or maybe those drag only cars that are making 600RWHP...
4) As was mentioned, there are plenty of people making good power on the VSPEC 2 row. I made nearly 470 RWHP with mine. I'll check intake temps and report back, but I think they're pretty reasonable.

What is the actual core size of these Greddy coolers you fella's are talking about?
I think after my next round of upgrades to my car (AFTER I get a new engine....... ) I may be in serious need of a new intercooler..
Does anyone have any pics of cars front ends with these 'coolers aswell?

As for how much needs to be trimmed off? Here Is a pic of IAN'S Front Bumper. Alot more could be trimmed off Imo.
Here Is a shot of hIGGI's setup. I love this pic. It reminds me of how much work Is really Involved to Install a tight setup.

Silverrotor, I would like the overall dimension mainly.
I would like the height, the lenght and the width of it.
Then also again max distance from one end tank to the next across.
Also what dia. are the in and outlet pipes?
(I'll probably think of many more questions later )

I am still here!
now the following things would be apreciated MUCHLY!;
core dimentions (without endtanks)
dimensions of just the endtanks(each)
the in/outlet positions (relative to center of in/outlet and then relative from there to the core)
diameters of the inlet and outlet respectively.
the positions relative to the core of the mounting brackets.
Not neccesary but definitely a plus, the lenth and angles of bend for the IC piping.
Iknow it sounds like alot BUT THIS WOULD BE THE SHIZZZZZNIT Silverrotor!
Thanks dude!
I will be tearing mine apart again soon
But will be way better in February
