![Question](https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I'm getting my 90 GXL ready for E stock solo2, so I'm limited to a 15 X 6 wheel, according to Tirerack's website both of these tires with fit a 6 inch wheel. Has any one used 205/50 and 225/50 Kumho V700s on a 15 X 6 wheel, and which one worked out the best for autocross?

225's will fit fine.
I've run them on stock rims with no rubbing.
The 225 will not turn in quite as quick as the 205 because the sidewalls will be slightly flared out. What you MAY lose in turn-in, you'll get back in steady state grip.
Also, don't get them shaved and don't waste your money on heat cycling. It's much more fun heat cycling them yourself.
I've also run (without rubbing) 225/15-15's in 15x7 wheels with a 40mm offset and 225/50-16's in Turbo 2 wheels without rubbing. All three sizes were run on a stock suspension and a modified suspension (Eibach Pros and Tokiko 5 ways).
Good luck and happy cone dodging

(sorry, I know I know, I'm not that funny)
hehe
Anyway, At this point, I can't tell you since I haven't compared 205s to 225s. But the differences will be slight (based on my experiences with 245 vs 265 Kumhos on my TA

I think I will go with the 225s. I use TII wheels with 225/50/16 Kumho 712s as my street tires now, so I shouldn't have any clearance problems with the V700s. After running my Impala the last couple of years, turn in will probably be a lot quicker than I'm used to with the 225s.
Thanks for the help.
