Kirk Racing Street Bar for Verts
1. Whose got 'em? I'm talking their Street Bar, not their Competition Bar.
2. Those that do, are you driving your Vert to SevenStock next month?

A reason for asking
Picture is from another thread I found surfing the forum.
Yes I know a street bar isn't SCCA approved. But it sure would seem better than none.

Damn fat fingers...
Anyways I was looking into them and I sent them an email for pricing.
Street Bar for 250
Competition Bar for 450
He said neither bars interfere with the use of the convertable top. Im assuming the Competition style will look like the Miata they have a picture of. Idont know what the street version will look like. I asked for pricing including shipping to Los angeles, but i dont think he added that in.

According the receipts from the previous owner, this is a Kirk Street Roll Bar. Came with the car and looks like a good quality product.
It mounts to the floor and the upper seat belt bracket. It does come right across the rear view, but you can look over and under it pretty easily. No conflict with the convertible top raising/lowering.

I believe this is their competition. Note the additional brace bars.
I've talked to them already. Shipping is something like another $150. Competition style has support bars

Also sent them an email yesterday asking if they were coming out to 7Stock. If they are, good timing to put in an order as there might be quantity efficiencies for shipping.

But, before I spend a dime I want to sit in a Vert that has one installed to see how my 6'2" body fits in both drivers and passenger seat.

With that goal, I personally invite NV02 to PLEASE drive his vert down for 7Stock. And one question to NV02. Does the bar cause any problems lowering the Windblocker? In all you pictures you show it being up.

HOZZMANRX7,
Unfortunately 7Stock isn't in the plans this year. However, the bar does not interfere at all with the wind blocker movement. The only interaction with the bar is the seat belt having to come around it a little. I can't comment on how your height might be an issue as I'm only 5' 7" except to say "Damn, the vert isn't particularly roomy, even for me!"

I really like your SuperCharged Vert by the way. Saw it on the for sale thread. If I wasn't already Vert rich, I would have been competing with yah.

With the seat all the way back, I still need to tilt the back a bit to fit comfortably. So, with the seat all the way back on the runners, can you still tilt the back all the way to the rear cover without the bar getting in the way? If so, I'm a potential buyer.

I poured through the receipts before purchase, and the PO put a lot of money into this thing for maintenance and upgrades. It was still in need of some serious TLC and I personally don't care for the SCer, but it now runs very good and will suffice until I get the TII engine swap planned.
