I was in Yosemite the other weekend and it snowed on the road. took a turn and did 180 and bumped passanger nose. (slite crease and poped out FTP - nothing major).

Next morning the battery was dead. I replaced the battery and things were great for about a week. I just went out to the car and the battery is dead.

The only other thing that has changed is that I installed Amp and Amp/Sub but I did not have any symptoms since installation a couple of months ago.

please concider the Jacobs high energy pack.

Here's what I think is happening, b/c I had a similar situation..

I don't think it has anything to do with the bump but most likely the amp. I'm assuming you connected to power directly to the battery. Did you run a remote wire?
If not, just find the appropriate wire on your amp and extend and connect it to some fuse in your fuse box, one that only comes on when the car is on, for instance the sun roof fuse or the windshield wiper fuse..

I suspect your car was running fine for that month because you were driving it regularly, but sometime in the last week you left the car sitting for too long with the amp constantly drawing power from the battery and it ran it down.. I did the same thing.

If you haven't, run a remote wire, and you should be fine.

I have a large power cable running directly to the battery. I also ran a remote power-on wire.

I was told to look to the turn signal lamp that is now out because of the "bump" and look for a short.



Thanks Colby! I am going to inspect the wiring on the turn signal and as a troubleshooting step, I will be sure to disconnect the amp every night.
