kgparts fuel rails and stock oem 550s? fail?
Recently ended up throwing in new fuel system using kgparts fuel rails 2 weeks ago that I bought second hand. With stock 550cc primaries and bosch 720ccs in the secondaries. I'm having a weird idle issue and the car seems to be crapping out fuel ala leaky injector. Also flooding out, it recently totally died and wont start unless I hit fuel cut via rtek 1.7 and then still wont idle at all. I did some searching around and on of the places that sells kgparts rails, it states that the rails do not work with stock oem 11mm o-ring injectors. Ruh ohhs. http://injector-rehab.com/shop/13B-Primary-Rail.html
I also saw some injector spacers or whatever. I tried to contact kgparts, but no one picks up the phone so I'm hoping someone who has the kgparts rails can set me straight on the whole oem injector issue and why it does not work or how I can make it work. I ended up using bigger o-rings and everything that sat flush and didnt seem to leak. But I'm thinking the difference in the injector o-ring size and how it might fit into the rail itself is causing it to leak up and around the injector and down or it might be just a leaky injector. So Id rather get some info on this whole matter before I waste time and money sending out the primaries to be cleaned.
Recap:
kgparts primary and secondary fuel rails
stock oem turbo2 550cc primaries
bosch 720cc secondaries
used fatter orings to seal them and they seemed tight
didnt use any of these injector spacers that are listed on the website

Thanks in advance,
Ark

what was the purpose of going to the larger fuel rails over the stock fuel rails? the stock fuel rails have been proven to flow fine up to 500 wheel horsepwer and have no issues fitting just about any top feed injector(with minor modifications to the injector), but the KG parts rails require some tweaking for smaller injectors like the example you found.
