Question just a simple quick question

for an 86 stock GX what size and amp fuel injectors can I use? I am not going to be doing any upgrading for a while except maybe a cold air intake and it does have custom exhause but still all the cats. I would just like to know what would work and if there are any cheap ones around?

for an n/a, unless you are HEAVILY modded there is no reason to upgrade your injectors. You would only be decreasing power.

Oh, yeah. An S-AFC can let you lean out the mix a bit, but you simply don't *need* bigger fuel injectors.

Stock NA injectors are 460cc/min. If you go any bigger than that you'll just run very rich and lose power.

Why do you need four new injectors? It's unusual to find an injector that can't be reconditioned to near-new condition. I've never heard of anyone needing to replace all four...

Send them to a company like RC Engineering, or look in the yellow pages for someone local. Any EFI specialist will do it (or send them out), or you could try diesel service companies. Some will do petrol injectors as well, and are often cheaper than EFI places.

I phoned a bunch of places and they say they will only do a purge which is running straight cleaner through the whole fuel system...would that work to clean them properly. They tell me it should but that sounds too easy.
