Same haircut, same ........

Rotary car isn't a rotary without a rotary in it.

Actually, that's a nice job you did on that Retro-fit into your Vert. Nice job.

BUT, a rotary car isn't a rotary without a rotary under the hood. Simply truth.

How about........... a 20B into a Mustang, or a 20B into a Camero. Hey, better still. A 20B into a Corvette.

Actually, I remember a Rotary in a Model T at last yeart 7Stock, and a Rotary in a VW Bus. So, I guess fair is fair.

I also think its kinda dumb. Will the chassis really handle that much torque? I think any Z would be alot more fun. A 240Z with a reinforced chassis and a V8. Ive seen turbo kits for those too. Yeao, I dont think theres any way in hell any FC could keep up with a TT V8 in a light car. Well itd be fun to seem it.
Sky
He should have done a 240Z and put a VG30dett<300ZX tt>

From Granny's Speed Shop:
LT1 495 For the long Block
LS1 395 for the long block

Of course AC, PS will add to that, but it won't throw the handling off as much as everyone would like to think. Couple that with the pictures and its easy to see the LS1 will sit farther back in then engine bay (more towards the center of the car) than the 20B.....

I'd have to agree, only the un-educated would bash this swap. Very well done, I'd like to buy a car like that, as I dont have the knowledge or space to pull off a swap like that.

The ratio of correctly accomplished swaps vs HACK jobs is probably 1:20. It may be a well done swap, its not my cup of Tea. If your gonna do a V8 swap why not something like the Hemi into a Sprite?. I prefer my RX7's rotary powered. I may do a swap someday, but I have other fish to fry

I don't really think he meant it as that kind of blanket statement. But people need to get over their holier- than-rotary attitudes.

There is nothing wrong with being a 'purist', but its not some sort of automotive blasphemy to put another engine into an RX-7. Its just a metal shell. There is no spiritual connection between it and its engine.

Also, many of the people that discount such conversions usually have never even seen, let a lone driven in one. So they spew forth the typical rhetoric: Its too heavy. I'll handle like crap. It messes up the perfect 50/50 distribution etc etc...blah blah blah

Anyways, not trying to start ****...

I think we have dispelled those myths in this thread. After talking to Mike (the guy that did the swap) he claims is car LOST weight in the front end on the conversion. The cost of this is comparable to a full To4, haltech, fmic ect ect ect it would take a 13BT to keep up with this. And the 13BT wont touch the torque that this thing will pound out. Plus you get a 6spd tranny in the whole conversion.

Torque is what makes the car nice to drive, Torque is what slams you back in the seat, and lastly Torque is what makes the girlies wet.

Rev higher. You'll have more horse power and be slammed into your seat harder.

I'd love to see a 7.0L turbo-charged rotary. Hell, I'd love a 2.6L dual rotary power plant. More displacement = more power.

Revving higher doesn't make a car nicer to drive on the street. It gets louder, it gets less reliable, the more you tune the motor for high RPM power the shittier your idle will be.

Only girls getting wet on torque on my area are tha crack hoes on Santa Rosa ave, and the local trailer parks.

Its the 3000 to 3500 rpm harmonic of a rotary that gets girls wet.
