i can see how this can be the case that going a little faster in our cars will give you better gas mileage. of course it's hard to say since all of our engines will be different, etc.
perhaps i will try to do some testing and see how much of a difference speed makes...
yeah, my comment about the SAFC making up for itself in savings is really dependent on how and how much you drive.
if you use your car quite a lot and daily, you should see some good savings. especially considering the price of gas these days...
whether letting the ECU handle cruise in closed loop or doing cruise correction through SAFC is better, i'm not quite sure...i personally think that running in open mode with SAFC fuel correction is probably a better idea for fuel savings than letting the ECU run in closed loop, since you can be much more aggressive and consistent with the SAFC. you need a wideband though to tune properly...i would aim for a constant 14.7 AFR for cruise

on average after changing the spark plugs and wires i've been getting 15-16mpg combined, which is a step up from 10-12 . going to replace 02 sensor too hopefully i get another 1-2mpg haha

ehh gas mileage. you got to pay to play.
but
when its hot out and i go to the boil temp track i get better mileage then being in the cold *** city.
does air intake temp affect mileage???
does anyone know the voltage reading off the O2???
