Do you mean your oil smells like gas? If so, that's not too unusual with these engines (actually any engine to a degree). Take a sample and send it to Blackstone Labs (www.blackstonelabs.com) for analysis to see just how much gas is present. They will find some fuel contamination of the oil--that's normal. It's just a matter of whether or not the amount present is an indication of internal engine problems. If the amount is more than normal, you may have an injector that is leaking fuel internally while the engine is shut down.

I concur 100% with Go48. 2-3% fuel dilution is not unusual for the 13B. Only an oil analysis lab can tell you how bad your problem is and whether or not it is causing any abormal wear.

well the car isnt running well at all and im positive its a fuel system problem. im getting like 6 miles to the gallon and it has no horse power at all, it wont go over 80-85 and it takes awhile to get there. i pulled dipstick out today and checking oil and it looked really clean, kinda runny, and smelt storngly of gas. so me being a total newb i figured that where my other 10 or so mpg where going... im losing hair, sleep, and paintence over this car and i really wanna get it running ASAP cause i like the feel of it so much. but theres know one near me who know jack about rotarys here so im relying almost 100% on the ecperts here lol. thanks

Seriously dude, you need to send a sample off and determine how much dillution and other contamination. You will learn a great deal as to the condition of your engine by doing this. From there, you can take appropriate steps to correct the problem. At this point, it could be worn seals, worn irons or leaking injectors. It also seems to be more prominent when you premix. Are you premixing?

Check your sensors. The factory service manual has instructions for testing them, and depending on the year of your car (S4 or S5), you can check the ECU for codes that may clue you in to what's causing trouble.

An injector leaking badly could also cause this - you'd be running incredibly rich at all RPMs, and the extra fuel would wash into the oil.

I understand this, Change the oil. Save a sample and send it off. Do proper troubleshooting to determine the cause of problem. Compression tests, checking sensors testing fuel injection etc. I suspect leaking fuel injectors are the culprit. I have some spares here. PM me for info. I'll need the type of car, ie: all I have are S5 N/A injectors. I can't verify condition but if you send them off to cruzinperformance and get them back you will have a known good set of injectors. as they are, they might be fine though.

It sounds a lot like the car is just running very rich.

First of all do a full tuneup. Plugs, wires, fluids, filters, check sensors, adjust TPS, etc. etc.

If it continues, have the injectors professionally cleaned.
