Just bought an 86 NT
Hi all,
I just picked up an 86 RX-7 tonight. Its non turbo with 149k miles on the odometer. Previous owner said he had a motor put in and new clutch about 20k miles ago, but no receipts. Anyway, it doesn't smoke on startup or while driving and seems to drive fine. Im getting a brake pulsation so I think it needs some new rotors up front. AC doesn't work either... maybe just needs a recharge. And the shifter is very loose. Shifts fine, doesn't pop out of gear and doesn't grind. Is there any fix to the sloppyness though? Maybe the bushings are bad?
I'm coming from a 91 AWD talon and picked this up for a decent price so I just wanna fix whats not working on it and have it as a daily driver. Thanks for your help!
Gregg

Yep, it's the bushings
(I think)
You make it sound as if most (if not all) of your AC components are in car. This means it won't be too hard to get it back to working order.
