Geez....Lighten up already
I have read hundred, if not thousands of posts on this forum. I am truly thankful for all of the people who share information on this forum. If not for that I would be truly lost, and probably would not still be driving a REX today.
I would like to comment on this thread by sharing my personal observations, as well as my opinion.
I, for one, appreciate people like "Rotary Resuurection" who not only share, but inform others as to what they have learned themselves working with these awesome automobiles.
I have always wondered (to myself) what all of the hype is about J-Spec/JDM parts/engines. I lived in Iwakuni, Japan for 7.5 years (this is when I was introduced to my first rotary car). I have been to the Hiroshima plant and witnessed first hand the craftsmanship of the Mazda personnel. This was in 1979, not everything was robotic then.........
Oops, off on a tangent.
My observation is that there are a lot of haters, and people who just criticise, to criticise. Why, I have no idea. Maybe it makes them feel good, or, just maybe they have an agenda themselves (whatever that may be). Some attacks, as this one, are not only brutal in nature, but unwarranted, as well as assinine.
I am in the process of completing a TII swap, and yes I will be working closely with Kevin to ensure that I have the best posssible product for the money. I have had many conversations with Kevin, through e-mail and by telephone and he has been nothing short of professional and patient with my numerous, and sometimes annoying questions.
I would like to COMMEND him for doing what he does.
In my humble opinion, Kevin was just illustrating (quite well I might add) that there is another side, a risk in buying the unknown. In my educated opinion, it was not an attempt to solicit any business opportunities at all. But, to just educate people like me WHO DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING!!!!!!
Thanks Kevin.......Michael from Michigan.
Ill be seeing you next month.
