jspec tii engine probs

I ordered a jspec engine for my 87 TII. I got a harness with my jspec. Only one of the plugs would've plugged into my ecu. So, I decided to put the aspec harness on my jspec engine. It turns out that half of the plugs are different, such as the injector plugs. On the jspec harness, you squeeze the plugs to get them off, on my aspec, they have that little metal clip. Also, there is no pushrod for the OMP. Did I get an S5 engine or is the S4 jspec engine that different from the aspec one? If it is an S5, what would I need to do to make use my S4 harness and ecu? If it is an S4, could I just splice in my aspec harness into the jspec one near the firewall or where it leaves the engine, by the thermostat housing, to go to the side of the engine bay?

if the OMP has wiring that's mounted to one of the alternator bracket bolts then you've got a series5 engine. If you don't have a radiator filler cap on the engine... you've got a series 5 engine.

I have an S5 then. Is there any way I could splice the jspec harness into my aspec one?

You can't splice the harnesses, but you can install the manifolds off of your S4 TII engine, along with the front cover (and the mechanical OMP), and use the S5 block with S4 manifolds.

That'll be the easiest way to get that engine to run.

What do I need to do to use the injectors off the jspec? My old ones are crap. I'm gonna run premix. Everything else I can figure out.
