JDM Twin Turbo Conversion On A Vert!
So last night we were tinkering with my buddies vert. He has this twin turbo kit lying in the back of the garage and jokingly says we should put it on. Well a few hours/beers later we have the block tore down and these turbos mounted up. I'll get some pics up tonight to show some of the progress.
Were going to be running this off a microtech. I know the N/A engine harness is a lot different than the Turbo. So I think if we get rid of that and go full stand alone we'll have to rewire the alternator and a few other things for everything to work, right?
We removed the 5/6 port sleeves and had to cut both actuator ports off the lower intake manifold then blocked them and the acv off.
Today we are going to mount the intercooler and upgrade the stock rad to a koyo then start putting it all back together. The way the intercooler pipe bends for this kit, it makes it perfect to use the stock n/a intake.
We are not sure were to tap the oil feed and return lines though. Probably the oil cooler and the pan?

Can't run seq unless you swap in a FD harness/ECU/solenoid rack/etc, which, in the end, doesn't even become worth it, and it's better off just running a properly sized single anyway.

For feed, you have several options. Perhaps the easiest is to get an oil filter pedistole from Speed Machine/Racing Beat/Mazdatrix/etc. They have two 1/8" NPT ports for gauges cut into them already. Just use the appropriate adapter to bring it to AN size, and go from there.
You can also tap the oil cooler banjo bolts. Or, make a set of AN/braided stainless oil cooler lines with a T fitting in the feed (the one that leads to the rear of the engine). Or weld a bung onto the cooler itself (bit of a pain, unless you are already welding on the cooler for something else).

Uh, another Troll???
"Twin turbo kit" can mean anything.
If it's stock FD or Cosmo, there is no way in hell it'll just bolt onto a 6-port motor.
It's bad enough on a 13BT, but there 6-port LIM sticks out even more.
Something stinks...

Yes, that's a custom twin turbo system.
Any monkey can bolts things together.

yeah, tuning the microtech is going to be the hardest part and we ran into some snags today, but it should be all worked out by the weekend.
Here is my buddy's setup. He did it all himself. T04R, 460hp at 13psi
